A bike shed and storage building in Falmouth, designed by Sam Ludgate Bloom, to make good use of the area, while keeping the parking space and garden privacy. It has vertical panels, lockable sliding doors, and a sloping roof (client will add a green roof later). There's also a horizontal fence and wooden stairs leading to the deck, which complete the project and tie everything together.

Douglas Fir Pergola

This bespoke pergola was made using douglas fir grown local to the project site in Cornwall. The 16 metre long feature walkway is designed to connect two sections of the garden, it features single sided ends to mirror the diagonal space that the structure sits within. Stepped into three sections, the design compensates for and creates a feature of the sloping garden. Later down the line a path will be laid and roses grown over the pergola.

The Greenhouse

Repurposing a traditional half brick greenhouse into a garden kitchen. For this project, the original glass was carefully removed and used elsewhere in the garden. A floating timber floor was installed, complete with mitre joint detailing to sympathetically instal around the original stone floor. A timber roof was installed and finished with cedar shingles.

To add space to this property for a growing family Josh was commissioned to build a multi-use garden room. Using weatherboard cladding, to fit within the Kentish aesthetic, the building now houses a utility area, playroom and incorporates an exciting brick-walled outdoor loo. This was refurbished as part of the project and is now housed under the cedar shingle roof.

The Lean-to Oak Structure

A custom design for a client this lean-to Oak structure is complete with a cedar shingle roof. At one end it has an open-roofed area that sits above a hot tub perfect for sunny days and star-filled nights. The area was previously unused because it sits at the side of the house and was simply used for access. Now utilised and turned into an outdoor lounging area that is totally private.

The Lookout

When you have a steep garden, sometimes you have to get creative to utilise the spaces that you have. This deck was built to make use of the least sloped area of the upper garden. The main aim was to make the amazing view accessible on a daily basis. It is now well used and has become an outdoor dining and seating area where the clients family gather.
